We are situated at the top of a hill, surrounded by the valleys and the so-called “Balze” (a form of soil errosion), typical of the Florentine area of Valdarno. We are in a strategic position among the most important art cities of Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Arezzo.
Thanks to our isolated position we are far from city noise and chaos, but at the same time it is very easy to reach any of these towns within a short time. We advise all our clients to rent a car during their stay so as to be free to explore all the small Tuscan towns in comfort.
Take the A1 Highway in the direction of Florence. Get off at the Incisa-Reggello exit. Turn immediately to the right and at the first roundabout, turn right towards Matassino. At the next roundabout continue straight ahead, still following the direction to Matassino. At the third roundabout keep on going straight ahead and at the fourth roundabout you turn left. After about 200 m, where the road branches, you go left and you cross a bridge. Straight after turn to the right, direction Vaggio. Once you have arrived at Vaggio stay on the main road and pass through the little centre at the end of which you veer towards the right into Via Alessandro Manzoni (following indications to S. Giovenale). After 100 m turn right and follow the directions to Savernano and you have arrived.
The distance from the Incisa-Reggello Highway exit is about 9 km. If you are using a GPS navigator, we recommend that you put in the following:
Once you have arrived to this point, you will see on your right a sign “Agriturismo Savernano”. Please follow the signs and you will arrive at destination.
The closest train station is Figline Valdarno, from which there are direct trains (25 minutes) to Florence’s main train station of Santa Maria Novella every hour. From Figline you can rent a car or call a taxi to reach us. We suggest that you choose the first option.
